First, remove the foglight housing from the car's bumper (there are about 2 screws holding it in place). After you do this, preheat an oven to 350-400 degrees for 10 mins, after the 10 mins, place the housing inside for about a minute.

Put on oven mits and remove the housing, use a flat head screw driver to pry at the plastic flaps that houd the plastic cover in place (there are 4 indented grooves/tabs). Do not force it, it should pry off with out too much force, if its not doing that, then put it back in the oven for another 30 seconds, and try agian....and so on.

Do watever u need to do (clean it up or watever) and remove all the old sealant, and then apply new silicone Sealent...its like 7 bux at pepboys.

GL!

wait wat, u dont need to pop off the lense to install HID's.

What kit did you get? all you need to do then is to take off the lower plastic shield under the bumper (phillips screws/8mm) and just install it from there...you might need to get down and dirty in order to place the ballasts in a place where they wont get wet....

I was about to say if you just got an HID kit for the fogs you don't need to take the fog light lense off, you just take the halogen bulb out, pop the new HID bulb in and plug in the wires.

For the fogs I found it was easiest to remove the 5x 10mm bolts from the bottom mudguard and go in from the bottom. You can get it on a jack to make it easier to move around under the car, but it's not necessary. You can also go in from top since you're doing the headlights as well, but that can be a little pain to get out (at least it took some moving around for me).

If you run into some problems I can try to help you out depending on how far you are from KC.

+1....there is NO need to take the light apart to install HIDs. The fact that you even thought that makes me kinda think that you shouldn't be tackling that job on your own.

I dont even know if those lights can be taken apart....maybe someone who's done in before will chime in.

it can be taken off, but in most cases, it will crack if done incorrectly. I would also agree and have someone who have done it, to do it for you.

The lenses come off fairly easy...if you know what you're doing. However, they need to be resealed correctly or you'll have leakage.

I agree with the consensus on here, if you're asking these types of questions you might want to leave this install to someone more skilled.

I contacted Chrissy, and it seems she only lives about 30-40 minutes away from me. I plan on helping her even though I'm no professional, but I've dealt with these HID's in my white Solara, and it's a relatively quick plug and play from what I've seen.
