Crack

Crack

Postby mattyboy243311 » Sun Apr 05, 2009 9:22 pm

I got a pretty clean crack in my front bumper? Do i need to get a new one or is there a way a body shop could bondo it or something and repaint. I don't think it is worth buying a whole new bumper for such a small crack. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Any decent bodyshop should be able to repair that with no issues. They have plastic repair kits that are designed specifically for problems such as yours. You'll have to have the bumper painted though.

TLMnick is right. Any body shop should be able to repair the crack. Replacement is not necessary.

so then i should be good right? I think the crack is probably bout 4-6 inches and clean cut. When i pop the crack together it is barely noticeable. I'm gonna got ot the shop and have them look at it tomorow!

^ dude enough with your front end repair pictures
too the OP:usually body jobs replace the bumper instead of using bondo on the bumper, because of the flexing the bumper does can cause the bondo to crack over time

A good body shop should have a filler specifically designed for flexible bumpers that won't crack when flexed. I know mine did.
