what is the black rubber thing that fills the space between grill and hood that attaches to the hood. and where can i find one???

i just dont wanna spend all that money at the dealership, and the junkyards a good idea but im afraid they wont sell it without the hood

wait until the junkyard closes, park your car in a dark area and raid the salvage yard for a solara. Make sure you dont forget the tools you'd need.. lol j/k

I don't believe there is a strip above the grill, just the headlights. There are holes in the hood that seem like they would accept clips, but they are larger. None of the toyota diagrams show it either.

my o1 does not have have rubber directly over the grill only over the head lights

I actually asked toyota about this part and they can't find it on their diagrams. I assumed mine was just missing when I bought the car, but I've yet to see a solara have one. The holes are definitely larger than the clips over the headlights...I've tried them.

The trim piece in that diagram sits back in further, not directly above the grill. I don't know what dracut13 is looking for, but it sounds like the piece that I searched for and ended up not finding.
