The built block was in my red knight solara for 10,000 miles. The block will handle whatever you thorw at it thats for sure.

looks sexy....but it's going to need a decent bit more boost to make up for the 1.5 point drop in compression ratio.

good thing for the increase in displacement :drinking:

presuming you run a 10psi pulley to actually make the 8psi of boost? probably 300whp on a 5-speed I'd say. too much hot air at that time I'd say to get much more even with meth.

So, not that much more than say, a stock 1mz on 8psi, BUT it will be able to hold up to it steadily and reliably for years since it was built to handle it, and hot air won't be as much of an issue.

But I'd say that a built 1mz with a blower is a waste of money and effort. A turbo setup without all the weaknesses and limitations of the blower would be a much better use of the motor.

The only exception to that opinion I would say is though is that built block on 8psi with the blower and a 100-150 shot of NOS....then it's worth the build ;)

it just doesnt seem worth it, cause from what ive read with a turbo you could go 100+ more whp

well...that is true...presuming your setup was designed to do that and you have the right turbo for the job.

but yeah, long story short, the limit of the supercharger is that after a certain point it just blows hot air and you don't get barely any gains despite the increase in psi. meth will help, but what you need is an intercooler (or after cooler as it may be). but and intercooler also results in a drop in psi, and eventually you can only run so small of a pulley....whereas you can always get a bigger turbo/piping, etc.
