just took my 2000 solara to get inspected(in ny has to be every year or the nazi, oh excuse me, nypd write heavy tickets) anyway i passed, and the mechanic said the car is in great condition, but that i need new struts, so im tryin to find the best and cheapest(if that makes sense) but i cant find that many on the topic in the search engine can someone help.

KYB-GR2 struts with KYB mounts. Keep the current springs. MAY need new sway bar links if yours are siezed.

BTW, having a small meet at Bear Mountain on the 5th, not too far from you. Friend of mine is coming in his Camry from Bronx. See the "Events" section. :)

np...you can't beat free shipping when it comes to struts...heavy little suckers. Oh and btw...I went w/ OEM sway links b/c you might as well replace them. Just some added info, you only have to deal with 3 part numbers. The fronts are different, but the rear sway link ends are the same. I went OEM, and they can get a bit pricey from the stealership to give you a heads up. The list price here at mine was $112 per link. The exact part numbers were 48810-06030, 48820-06030, 2x 48830-06020 for my gen 1.

And just an extra FYI...if you ever plan on doing a TRD Rear Sway Bar...this would be the time if you're in there already and have the rear end links off.
