Sway bar links: Gen1 vs. Gen2

My rear sway bar links are leaking grease, that means it's time to change them. Are the gen1 links different from the gen2? They look allmost identical. And what are people's take on the cheap ebay ones?

I don't know about the compatibility between gen 1 and 2, but I do know it's not worth it to go OEM. I ended up cutting my frozen ones off when I installed my first installation, and did the same a year later when I installed my coilovers. Don't get endlinks that use an allen wrench to tighten, it's a terrible design.

I got some moog links that are far superior to OEM. They did away with the allen socket, are much beefier, and can also be refilled with grease if the joint starts going bad.
