Cracked Bumper

Cracked Bumper

On the way home from Baton Rouge last night, a dog decided to take a stroll, in front of my car. Needless to say this did not end well for either of us. I think the dog is ok because it wasn't in the road when I went back. However, the housing on my driver's side fog light is split in two and there is a crack in my bumper above the fog light now.

The crack is only about five inches long and not severe or extremely noticeable. Actually, if I force the gap to close, it looks seamless.

My question is, does anyone know if there is a route I can take to mend this? What would be the easiest way to hold the sides together while some form of sealant dries in the crack? What sealant to use?

To be honest with you, there really is no permanent fix.. Sure you could use expoxy glue or fiberglass and resin, but it wouldnt be seamless. IF you decide to go with the epoxy glue route, just used a really strong tape to hold pressure on the seperation while the glue cures. If you are looking for a more permanent solutution heres a link to a great deal on a new bumper.: http://www.neweggmall.com/Product/20029 ... 2002924770 I have to replace mine as well soon, due to a crack in the lower lip part.

Any idea how much the paint job would cost?
