So i tried to search for other forums about turbochargers but nothing. So dont flame me for not searching page 200. I really did try, please give me a break. :-?

Anyways, i've been searching around the internet and through these forums for a very long time and havent found an answer to my question.

My question is where can i find a turbo charger kit that can fit to my 1999 SE V6 5spd? Can turbos from other cars different from mine fit onto my engine? If so, what car(s)? If there is a turbo for my engine, where can i find it (preferably a website).

Thanks

Yes, I agree, searching here can be quite a task. Its an acquired skill I have yet to gain. I dont think that any company makes turbos for our cars if im not mistaken. I think you would have to do a custom one.

i know that 4cyl solaras use turbos from the tc's. but your best bet would be just getting a custom made one.

there isnt a specific "turbo kit" for the 1mz-fe... You must fabricate nearly everything frm the ground up. It would cost somewhere from 5-10k or more depending on what parts you buy or what shop you go to. Ask shidosha01: turbo solara with 1mz-fe
HKSboost: turbo camry with 1mz-fe
Tony The tiger: twin turbo camry with 1mz-fe
Im sure Im leaving a few out thats all I can think of right now :(

most stock turbo's are going to be too small for a v6, unless you we're going to do a twin set up. After reading compressor maps, for a low boost set up a T3/TO4E should work well, or even something a little larger.

Rizal's got a sick turbocharger setup as well

But yes from everyone's comments a turbo charger will be custom
and from popular opinion, would require a battery relocation to make room for a decent sized snail. Good luck with the Turbo idea.. I've been chasing that dream for 3 years.

Just be determined.... and be either handy with the wrench or have lots of money to blow.
