Good price for strut install?

Good price for strut install?

Hey all, I hope this is the right forum for this.

I have Tokicos on the rear if my car and KYB's on the front. I was led to believe the original Tokicos I had up front blew out, so I changed to KYB because dealing with Tokico's warranty people was a headache. I now know for sure that my passenger side rear Tokico strut is blown, and I am feeling the idea of KYB's all around. They're far smoother, seem to handle well, and haven't blown out yet.

The garage I'm talking to in LA is new to me, as I'm from Austin, TX. They want $375 for labor and 99 per strut, $575 total+tax. Does that sound pretty fair? I'm tight on time, so I really can't go shopping around. I don't think I'll do much better and these guys seem ok. Does this sound like a go to you guys?

Sorry if it's lame to ask that here, but this site is the first I think of for stuff like this, since you all are in the know.
TRD shifter, TRD springs, KYB struts and rear strut mounts, Stillen Cross Drilled and Slotted Brakes and pads, Whiteline RSB, tint, and a decent stereo, 17x8 TSW Kyalami rims on Hankook tires

That sounds about right for that install, figuring all the stuff they have to remove from the back of the car just to get to the rear strut bolts.

But it is free if you do it yourself., pretty easy and straight forward. Just watch out for you ABS sensor.

This sale isn't mine, but here's some much cheaper even after the shipping.

$130 for both rear struts. It's worth a little wait to save that much money, and in the meantime you could get more quotes w/o seeming like you're in a hurry (b/c I noticed that's when mechanics try to touch the back of your teeth...and not through your
mouth.

my first set of struts/springs, i paid $350 total. you shouldn't have to pay per strut or anything like that....should just be a flat out rate if your supplying the springs/struts.

I say go with the TRD's in the rear.. you will have a much better ride since they are more stiff.

Contact GregTRD. He will get you a good price on installed and hes local to the LA/Inland Empire area. He does goos work.. He's even done engine swaps for a few ppl here on the board.

I have lowered a lot of solaras here relatively cheap... you know why? I do society a favor, for every lowered car I have lowered an angel gets its wings.....

I have lowered cars for almost nothing just to see it lowered.

I'm retired now though...

I've got a place that does cheap labor on struts (at least it was for me). Not sure what he'd want if you want him to source the parts though. PM me if you're interested.

Wow. I wish I could find some place that cheap here. I simply don't have the time to do it myself right now.
