Who knows about Auxiliary Lighting?

Who knows about Auxiliary Lighting?

Postby Mr_Chunkz » Mon Mar 16, 2009 9:24 pm

I am looking to remove my factory fog lights, I will need the additional space for some cooling devices soon....

I'd still like to retain some sort of fog lamp though, so I was looking into something auxiliary that still allows air to pass through ( bolts up where stock fog light is but small enough to allow air to pass around it )...

I wanted to keep my current 50w 9006 HID bulb because its hard to find quality 50w kits nowadays. Does anyone know of any auxiliary fog lamps that utilize a 9006 bulb? Most seem to be h3 bulb.

If not.. is anyone aware of a 9006 to h3 conversion plate?

Also, if all else fails can anyone confirm that no matter what sort of HID bulb I buy ( If I buy an h3 bulb to replace my 9006 bulbs ) that they will plug and play into my current balasts without a hitch?

Thanks in advance.

how about these.. Im prety sure they use a 50 watt or less bulb, you could just splice into your original wiring. a member on here put a pair like these on the back bumper of their gen2

the lights shown could mount in the grill like mine and give you plenty of room for a ram in the factory spots Image

Does this light use a 9006 bulb?

I admit i WAS looking for something round.. but if this accepts a 9006 i will buy it

If not.. what sort of bulb does it use..

Also.. d money you have a good idea but I was planning to leave the center area free of any obstructions.

At first beause I will mount a custom mesh.. but in a future at some point I will mount a front mount intercooler :P

Anyway I figure a small enough auxillary lamp would go great where the factory holes were. see Datsrboi's solara

I just wasnt sure if any of these little lights takes a 9006 bulb, which is a pretty large bulb.

Im not sure if you would be able to find any auxilary style fog lights that use a 9006 bulb... you could just splice into the original harness though.

U could use the 9006 male harness that they sell on ebay, that will plug into ur existing factory harness and give u a negative and positive wire out...I did that for my h3 bulb conversion for the lexus projectors.
