Does anyone else find the stock boot looks like crap with the short shifter??

Ive heard that momo makes a short shift boot and was thinking of going with that.

it may look cool with the stock shifter, but a short shifter makes it look like a bull's ballsack..

if your good at sewing, you could trim up the length a little... heck, you could just about make a whole new boot using new leather and red thread...

If you play around with it, you should eventually be able to work something out. The over-sized boot doesn't look good, but an over-sized shifter looks worse IMO.

I looked into having the factory boot shortened and it ended up not being possible with the stitching. You'd have to fab one from scratch or buy a universal one.

I don't see why not...

All you would have to do is take it apart (leaving you with four triangle shapes) and trim down the sides of each triangle - thereby eliminating the holes left from the original stitches.

James, you'd know better than anyone, I'm just going by what I was told. I believe the guy told me some of the holes would still show, but then again he was an old-timer who probably didn't care about my boot problems.

Maybe I can pay you to try it out on my boot and see how it goes?

I happen to know a decent tailor who lives in the apartments at the end of your street bro... he could probably shorten the boot so it doesn't look all wadded up. He's not fast but is cheap, but then you have a little time to work with too...

and no, i'm not talking about village in the hood. ;)

It would probably just be easier to make a new one, that way you wouldn't have to worry about messing it up and not having a boot - be it too large or short.

Akora, if you want, I could make you a new boot. I would just need to see a regular one in order to get an idea of what size to make it.

Once I get all the measurements correct, I'd be happy to make good quality shift boots for you guys.
