TRD Lip Kit Compatibility Question

TRD Lip Kit Compatibility Question

Postby funboy102 » Sun Mar 15, 2009 1:55 am

Hey guy, before I ask this, I do wanna state that I did try searching... Just couldn't find anything.

I got three basic questions about the TRD Lip kit for the Gen 1 Solara.

1. What is the difference between the Molly Designs kit and the Kaminari kit? Is one better quality than the other? Does one make the Gen 1 and the other make the Gen 1.5? I keep on hearing these two names tossed around, but WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

2. Are the Gen 1 and Gen 1.5 kit compatible with each other? Does 1 fit 1.5 and 1.5 fit 1? Or does it only go one way? And if it does fit, what is the process of making it fit?

3. How easy is it to install the kit? (So easy a caveman can do it?) haha, ok, seriously, is it just 3M double sided tape and screws?

Thank you Guys! (and girls)

I DID SEARCH!!! Come on... If someone had the answer, it wouldn't take no more than 5 minutes to type it all out, and you would be helping me a lot.

Or at least give me the search terms or something, that would only take less than 1 minute to type out. I seriously can't find anything.

The Gen 1.5 kit can be use on a Gen 1 or a Gen 1.5.

Kaminari kit are Gen 1.5 and the Molly are Gen 1.

The real different are the front lips other then that they are all the same.

The installation is simple just use screws and 3M double sided tape.
