So the radio will work for a car without the JBL system?

looks like it only has the jbl type plug on the back, and not the non-amplified system plug.

Thanks. I guess this only works for cars with the JBL system.

Sorry for being dense, but does your car have the JBL system? My car does not have it and I don't know the difference between the JBL & non-JBL system. If your car has the JBL system and, as Adam has pointed out, there won't be an internal amplifier to this radio. How would it work on my car which relies on the factory radio for amplification to the speakers?

The non jbl system was a single disk player... Only the JBL systems had the 6 disc changer and external amp. Therefore this radio is the JBL system. Im not sure if you would be able to use this radio, becuase as you said, your speakers rely on the factory radio for amplification. You would probably be better off buying an aftermarket system. unless you could come across an external JBL amp. Most people on here who have aftermarket systems usually bypass the jbl amp. Im willing to bet someone would be willing to pull their's out and sell it to you since its not being used 8)
