Well, yeah Frank your idea is kinda what Im talkin about. Im not sayin we all get on a party line and call'em. We set up a certain day for all of us to call whenever that day. We could even have people call the day after as well for those who didnt call. This is only for people who are serious about buyin a Renova. You have to call with seriousness. We need to get a list goin so when we decide what day, we know how many people are gona call.

Back to OP. I cut mine also. I cut the plastic out with side-cutters and then just used a wood file tool to sand down the plastic, followed by sand paper to smooth it out. Used like a key hole saw to carefully cut around the center bar. Touched it up with bondo and sand paper. Then comes the taping (unless you don't wanna maintain the chrome), followed by the layers of black paint. The mesh pretty much held up on its own. It's kinda time consuming.
