what kind kit do you have?
good ones are plug and play, even high low.

i dont know if you could put the two postive wires together? i mean you could but then you would have high and low beam same time.

since the kit only has one positive input, you might need a relay kit, cant really tell unless you have pictures or something.

You have a Gen 1, you need H4 bulbs to get high/low beams.

The H4 bulb is a dual bulb. Your reagualr bulb is the HID and your high beam is a halogen.

What kinda bulbs did you get???

Your ballast should have three wires, i think.

two for your HIDs and one for you halogen high beam.

there are inly two wires to power it.Im pretty sure the low beam power supply turns off when the high beam are on.I need to know if it is safe to run both the low and high lead to the pos on the ballast that is the only way i can see to get both of them to work

Not sure if ur aware of this but thats a Kit for H4 Low beam only... that is why when u try to do high beam it turns off... if u want a Highbeam then u shoulda gotten a kit with 2 bulbs (1HID and 1Halogen) or the HID bulb that had a telescopic movement for true HID Highbeam

that would be a good reason why it is not doing what i want it to do.since that is the case can i use either high or low output to power the unit .also can i modify it so both out puts trigger the relay or will it damage something if i touch the two power wires together i dont care if it gets brighter or not cause these things are freakin bright

putting 2 power leads together won't make your lights brighter.

the kit you have does not have a high beam.

the high beam power is no longer used with your kit installed.
the power of 8
