I'm not on the call-out, but as I said before just make sure that the splice isn't touching the plastic shielding on the harness. If it is, get a new one and cut the wires right behind the clips that attach to the sensors. Soldering is always a good idea, but a good crimp will do. Aside from that, it's really plug and play.

Yes, but I ended up pulling it out and doing the relocation. My ordeal was with the grounding of the harness. That may not be your case, but if you replaced the sensor and harness, there's not much else to go wrong.

whoa lol, i completely missed this.

I actually just wired up 1 GM sensor w/adapter to the front bank. Then ran both wires @ ECU to read off only that one. Reason is the rear as noticed by others seems to be sensitive to a certain frequency of the s/c's whine and gives false readings of knock. Also the front one is more of a worry esp w/o the jim's fuel lines cause its the one where its starved for fuel due to the stock line design.

On my car, I blew the front bank sensor so thats the one I replaced and did the re-wire as well. Tip: I bought a whole new harness so I could solder/splice w/o being worried. Works great and no problems

i totally missed this. you probably got the problem fixed already, but as for my install, i didn't even solder the wires. i used some butt connectors, put split loom tubing and taped up the work with electrical tape. i installed 2 GM sensors.

the first time the code came up, i had to disassemble EVERYTHING, only to find that my connection was loose. f*ckin' aye.

so yeah, make sure your connections are SOLID. make sure the sensors themselves are also screwed in tight, just don't overtorque those suckers.
