I bought these mistakenly thinking I was getting the rear bushing for the front control arms. These are actually the rear control arm bushings. They are polyurethane instead of rubber which comes stock. They should give you better driving response.

are you sure the bushings are not the same size for the front control arm?

I'm positive. There's 2 for each of the front control arms, a long skinny one (front) and a hockey puck shaped one (rear). These go in the back of the car.

They're stiffer than rubber (stock) so they allow for less movement in between suspension joints. Basically just makes your ride a little stiffer, more responsive, and less prone to sloppy body movement while cornering etc.
