Fair Value for '99 V6?

Fair Value for '99 V6?

Hey folks, just curious to know what people think is a fair price for Solara I'm selling...

Vital Stats:
'99 Solara SE V6
~ 126k miles
Auto
Color = Black
Leather Seats
Fog Lights

KBB and Edmunds suggest somewhere in the mid $4000s. The only wrinkle is that my tires are basically bald, so the new owner will need to replace those almost immediately.

Also, the suspension is working fine, but it's noisy (probably strut mounts) over bumps.

Oh, and I'm in the DC area...

After loving my 99 solara for 10 years, we (my wife) don't think its worth fixing it anymore, 3k for timing belt and valve gasket work, brakes, shocks and power steering hose. Then a small deer caved in my rear side and I thought it was about time to buy a new Camry. The shock came when the first dealer offered me only $500 trade in. Now the question is do I fix the body work with the $1400 insurance check and all the other problems to the car and break even if it sells for $3500 or $2000 as is if I can. Serious decision since it owes me nothing.

Part II

After looking for weeks I found the only Camry I liked, XLE Grey/grey leather /V6 to replace the Solara, I thought I would miss the solara untill I drove the new car. This new Camry is faster and has a smoother ride than all that I tested. After the test ride, another dealer offered the trade-in of $2200 (as is), of course its the end of the month and they want to sell the new car and I bought it the next day. So far I'm very satisfied with my new purchase, but I miss my old Solara too. Yeah thats fair value after 10 years. Paul
