Hi I wanted to try to smoke my tail lights and I was wondering whether to go with duplicolor metalcast:smoke or should I justorder the VHT Nightshades. Has anyone used either of these products.

Isnt the VHT Nightshades put out by Duplicolor???
Either way I would go with the VHT.

Whatever you decide just remember that the spray is perm, but Im sure you know that. Like Ilovemylara said be prepared to do some wetsanding.

PM LatinUSMC he might give you some pointers. He smokes tails for a hobby. From what Ive seen he does some dam good work. Im gonna buy mine from him when I rangle up some dough.

I used VHT night shades. Point to note. wet sand, and do your coats light!!!! if you put them on to heavy, it will run and look like A$$. Also to consider is how the lights will be visible WITH THE SUN ON THEM!! If they are too dark, in the sun, your brakes and signals are not that visible.... If you get rear ended, the cop will probably do you hard with tickets for sure....... They look great if done correctly. I used a clear coat over them once I was done.... I love the look of them. would recommend. easy product to use. no regrets. Go buy the stuff and have at it!! :fadein:
