Eyelids...which one is which?

Postby liltimmy1313 » Sat Feb 07, 2009 11:20 pm

I was looking at eyelids today and I noticed a slight problem that i was a little unsure of.

there are Mimo eyelids.

there are michaelt version 1

there are michaelt version 2

which is which? michael t's doesnt have any good links on his images.
i think the mimo ones are skinny but im not sure.

i want the really big onez. The ones that are half tha size of the light it self.

oh and btw, do these things pass NJ inspection? just curious, i can work my way around it if they cant but...

Michael has stopped making these. I have been trying to get mine from him since last year some time. He is having some bad family problems, so I'd just send him a PM about the products if you are still interested in purchasing.

nahhh, if you clear 'em out and throw on the eyelids it looks dirty, ricey stuff is like cheap bullshit wings and stickers and what not. Look at Michael T's Lara (specifically the pics from H.I.N.) they look sickk

I'd follow toyo chick's advice because unless you go with a modified lip kit, lambo doors, air bag suspension, and hid's the lids alone will look ricey. IMO but to each their own :)

I'll have to upload the pics i photoshopped. I wanted to get an idea of what itd look like and see if the ideas in my hand looked good digitally. Believe me, I dont want ricey anything.

See the plan is to get black 19's, get the sprint spring (1.9" and 1.7" lower), get the trenz grille, paint it black, paint the big toyota trunk symbol black, remove all other badges, paint the mirrors and roof black, do headlights and tailights tinted black, go gen 2.5 tails, and get HID's.

i know i know, alot on my plate, but it'll get done

Rice huh? Ummm o.k. I bought Mike's version one eyelids a while back. I didn't like the look ,so I bought some vinyl, got some brown paper, and traced the natural line of the headlights to make a template. A few months later I noticed that Mike was using the same design for his version two lids. To me they are a great improvement. I get a lot of compliments on mine, but to each, his (or her) own.

yea those are the nice ones, personally speaking i think it looks pretty nice when it follows the line of the headlight (right at the apex of the light, when it splits).
