Motor & Trans

Postby squatch197 » Fri Jan 30, 2009 9:41 am

My car was built in Japan so it did fine till the air filter broke the end off and clogged the mass and ran me lean blowing the motor. The motor was still running 7,000 miles later and pumping out 14.00's all day long and then I swapped in a stocker out of a Lexus ES300. When I took the motor apart I found that 5 pistons had cracked ring lands and only 1 was in good shape. The trans is fine. I put a big cooler on it right after I bough the charger.

sounds pretty good to me- kinda like my previous motor.

but think about how much faster it would have been if it was a 5-speed ;)

but hmmm.....more boost then eh...it's something that I've been considering yet again....ha
