What are the best quality, cross drilled/slotted rotors for a '99 Solara? Something good, but not that that expensive.

Why do you need fancy rotors.......just get brembo blanks with I don't know hawk pads and you have a great blend of performance and longevity

^^^depends on how you drive...if you're one of the turds that accelerates really fast and jams on the brakes just to slow down instead of letting off the gas, then go with the blanks. If you're a little more casual with how you brake then go with what you want.

I've had the same rotors and pads for three years now and still plenty of pads left. R1concepts rotors D + S/Axxis pads

I used to run these rotors from a guy who sold them on ebay his name was rotorworks but I don't know if he's around. They lasted about a year with hard driving and I was even able to get them resurfaced. It ran 150 for front and rear w/ pads. Worth every penny IMHO. Check it out if you can find him. Also got rid of my brake fade issue but this was on a Nissan Xterra.

my brake setup is as follows:

sp performance brand rotors, slotted, dimpled (not cross drilled, but kinda similar)

axxis organic brake pads.

so far have held up for over a year

no/little brake dust
no squealing

good longevity (i'm one of those guys who accellerates fast and jams on the brakes)

it looks pretty good, IMO, but search around to find what suits your personal taste.

I rocked brembo slotted rotors with hawk pads and goodrich ss lines, loved it on my solara... no noise and no excessive wear. But akfahad is right, it depends on how you drive... I drive like an old man so wear was never an issue

I have drilled Brembo's and Akibono pads, and Goodrich steel braided brake lines. It has worked great since day 1. No dust, no squeek, and smooth stopping power. Plus, the Brembo's look nice.
