well today me and the girlfriend where at the cheese steak place and when we come back my f*in passenger side window was down half way. Then I told the girlfriend to NOT TOUCH IT and she tried to roll it up with her hands because it was 8 degrees outside lol! (I can't really blame her) the window fell (smoothly though) all the way down in my door.. When I turn the switch I can hear the rotor turning but I guess it fell out of place.

The reason why this is so urgent is because I need my car tomorrow for work at 11 am.. and its snowing like hell outside and I dont want to fork out 300 dollars (I flippin hate mechanics)

Is there a simple solution to fix this? Can someone link me to a step by step tutorial of how to open the door panel and see whats wrong? I just want to put the damn thing up so I don't freeze to death.

Has anyone else had this problem? And how cheap can I fix this ?

I love you people!

Like krawzyazn said, it came off the track. Could be a window regulator if our cars even have them.

take off the door panel, push up the window and put a clamp around the track to hold it up. works untill you get the new regulator

Pardon me If I sound like I have 1/3 of a planet of jet lag... but anyone who intends on working on a late model car needs to have:
a manual (Haynes, while not perfect, are worth the $35 or whatever they charge)
an OBD-II scanner (sick of the "I have a CEL, whazzat mean?" questions)
and a vacuum pump/gauge: (that is, if you want to troubleshoot a PO4sumthin'sumthin CEL code)
In addition to the tool set that any reasonable human being posesses.

So: I know the question has been (sorta) answered, and I can't tell you any more information, but I know the information you seek is in the manual sittin' in da bookshelf at ma hizouse.

Again: Pardon me for the tone of this message. I'm all for the chattin' 'bout Lara... but I am really sick of the "how do I open the XXX", or "whats the ABC bulb number". I guess this is my version of the "use the criffing search function" message.

P.S. Finland, on business, and I'm expensing the pub tab. :D
