Well.. after seeing about 3 dozen forums showong how-tos and pics of several cars with the home depot lip, I decided to try it. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Any thoughts?

Wow. That looks awsome to me. It looks smooth and fluid instead of a bulky add on.

Not too shabby. Maybe some paint and Clear and it would look better.

Looks pretty good actually. How'd you do it? What did you buy? How much was the total cost? Etc.

Theres a link on google for the DIY guide.. just search home depot lip. I went to home depot and bought a nine foot strip of this stuff called garage door seal.It is rubber, somewhat stiff and has a fom like texture. It was only $5. Then you'll need two rolls of 3m doublesided mounting tape. You can run some screws in for extra support.. but Im not lowered so i dont believe it will get riped off or anything of that sort. The seal itself is shaped like a L, with one side shorter that the other... run the tape from one end to the other on it.. then jack your car up (or take your bumper off whichever is easier to you) and begin carefully applying the stuff... if you mess up ts ok to pull it off as long as it hasnt been more than a few hours. once you put pressure on it, the tape is verrry strong. There will be about a foot or two left over, cut it off and thats it. If you want it to look glossy use either tire shine or tire dressing. I used tire dressing and it turned out wonderful. I know this stuff may seem flimsy but it doesnt "flap around" at all when driving. :)

oh yeah total cost: $15 8) the advantage is that if you dont like it or it gets messed up, it was only 15 dollars. Beats spending 300+ or so for the kazumas on the front

^haha good job bro i was actually going to do that to mine but i put brick edging instead! more sturdy for the modded lip i mounted but that was actually my first option and i knew it would turn out good, and on a 1.5 it looks better just because the front end has more curves and a better style than the gen1
