How do I remove this???

Ok this crap is pissing me off. I have removed every Toyota emblem off my Solara.
The only thing left on is the Solara frosting on the quarter panel windows.
Please, somebody tell me how to get this off of my car. Its driving me crazy!!!

I know its not custom because the VIN numbers are etched over part of the frosting. So that tells me that it came from the factory that way. There has to be a way to get this off.

Frost?... hmm if it was a decal u can use a blade to get it off.

Everyone else telling you their car doesn't have this tells you it's custom. That and the non-standard SOLARA font.

Is it etched on, or printed on? Rub your fingers over it to find out. If etched, find a replacement window. If printed, try goo-gone and some elbow grease.

Cops do VIN etching on windows as a theft preventive measure in NYC so it may have been done in your area too. Its definitely custom though. You'll just have to replace the windows.

its not toatally custom it must have been some kind of add on cause i have that too. I love it though but mine is on all my windows. Sort of, it says solara in my quarter panels with a pin stripe going to my door windows. i say keep it cause i havnt seen any other solaras with (except you now lol) so i would keep it to be different

do you got pictures too lilm? does it look exactly like the OP?... and if this is glass etching, it sounds like a "pioneering" mod cuz I haven't seen glass etching on any other car yet. (in a way, it's kinda like a tattoo for a car, once you get it, you can't get rid of it)

Thats cool. Atleast I'm not the only one now. Im not really that fond of it though, but like you said "its different." Its on both sides of mine too. Along with the etched pinstripping on the front windows as well. Does yours have the same font as mine???

I never thought of it that way, "a tattoo for your car." I like that, thanks funboy!!! I wonder if I could pass it off as a mod now! LOL!

mine doesn't have it. and most other solara's i see don't have that.

i'd say keep this etching and shave off all the other badging, except for the toyota emblem on the trunk, and the grille emblem.
