Driver side windows...weird in the sun

Postby Grnarowana » Tue Dec 30, 2008 11:47 am

My 99 solara is weird. For the past month when I park my car on the streets its been getting quite a bit of sunlight and heats up the temperature in the car. When this happens my driver side windows won't work. But once the temperature cools down, the windows work again...HOW WEIRD IS THAT?

Bad motor or a bad case of the Rays?

CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION: You're window is going to STOP WORKING!!! I promise you. It happened to both of my Solara's. I haven't fixed either one but I'm guessing it could be the motor or the switch. There have been threads of other members having the same issue so you may not want to roll down your window just in case it stops working. Good luck.

if it has an auto down the current limiter maybe effected by temp. i would suspect it needs to be replaced.
