i would say cai because first it is easiest changeing headers is not for the faint harted but another thing u wanna work on is makeing sure ur engine uses all that extra air. I actually got a friend thats trying to sell his intake. bIts in brand new condition its a cpe intake i think its tunable with heat shield standard it usually cost like 500 plus but he is selling it for 250 which is awesome price for it. call me if ur intrested. I have done buisness with him face to face and would vouch for him. hes on sg too.

I had heard the TRD RSB's are bad. Rubbing, etc. I was told Whiteline was better.

Where do you purchase them at? I went to whiteline.com and there was not a Solara selection.

The TRD RSB is not BAD. Whoever you heard that from is a moron.

And if you want Whiteline stuff, you have to order from here: http://www.globalperformanceparts.com/

Suspension. Lowering springs or coilovers and new shocks.

I would say get your exhaust fixed, and a TRD RSB as a first mod.

solara90: since you're rocking the 2.4l, i'd start with suspension (TRD RSB, springs/struts), then i'd do audio and tint.

realistically man, and i hate to be the one to burst bubbles, but you're modding the 4 cyl. the v6 is pretty slow, in the grand scheme of things (for the class of car it is, oversized coupe, heavy chassis), the v6 is barely competetive with more sport oriented vehicles (definitely behind almost all other sport coupes, G35/350z, RX-8, etc). to get the 4 cyl competitive speed-wise, you're gonna have to invest big bucks.

so if you're not dropping 3 grand at once on an upgrade, i'd recommend doing small dollar style and handling upgrades.

the 4 cyl is almost as heavy, but with a little less go to it. it does have the VVT-i, but it's still not a fast car by any means. but if you are gonna drop 3 grand at once, then why not go with a custom turbo setup?

if you upgrade the suspension and the audio, it doesn't matter if you're going fast, since the solara is still a good looking car, that will look better than any civic with the same mods (drop+tint+audio will always look better on a solara to me, than a civic). also, just because your car is a 4cyl, and not able to go fast in a straight line, doesn't mean that you can't have fun taking corners quickly (and safely) with an upgraded RSB.

but then again, it's your car.

on other notes: i don't think the CPe is designed for the 4cyl, so you should probably disregard that post. and also, there's an aftermarket parts thread in the aftermarket section of the gen1 forum. check there and figure out for yourself what you want to spend money on, and in what order you would want to buy stuff.
