How much is this gonna cost me? :(

Also, I've noticed a burning rubber odor when I'm at a stop light. I'm hoping this is all related?

2000 SE v6

As the story goes, Late last night after throttling like a mad man to get through heavy snow, the light went on. It was still on when I started it up this morning, I took it to the test station thinking a dummy light wouldn't make a diff, but it did. I pulled out of the test station after being told to go drive around to the office. I drive around, light still on, park and go in. They ramble off the same blah blah blah that the original test guy told me and I head back to my car. I start it up, and no more light.

WTF? Is this just bad timing? I'm wondering if I should just go back to the test station and re-test now that the light is off. I have friday and saturday left (heading out of town from sunday through next saturday). I need my plate sticker by jan 1st and IL, especially chicago is a bitch for this kind of sh*t (they want their money... be it fines, fees, extortion... just look at baglojevich)...

awful timing.... in a nutshell, thats about it :(

I must have clogged up the exhaust with carbs when I was trying to break through a half a foot of surrounding snow. It took a few starts and some driving around before the backup cleared out and the light shut off.
