Injen Intake and Smog Check in Cali

Postby mightymouse402 » Mon Dec 22, 2008 1:04 pm

Hello all,

I was just wondering if any of the California Solaraguys have has any trouble passing the yearly smog inspection with an Injen intake installed, I am in the process of possibly purchasing one. I have a 99 Solara V6.

Any and all of your responses are appreciated!

Happy Holidays! :)

As long as the intake has Injen's CARB Executive Order number badge on it, you'll be straight.

I passed with the Injen and the JIC exhaust. You'll be fine.

The person I'm trying to get it from is from new york and he says it doesn't have a CARB sticker on it. Would that matter? It is the IS2030P from Injen.

You can try and contact Injen, and they'll give you instructions on how to obtain a badge from them. I live in CA, and bought the intake befrore it was smog exempt. Per their instructions back then, I took some pictures of the intake installed in the car/VIN plate/etc., and they shipped me a badge.
