maybe its just me but the OEM fogs and black fogs look almost the same. whats the diff?

The outer trim is sealed with black butyl rather than the stock grey. Since the gen. 1 fogs have a fluted lens, this was the only practical way, IMO, to match them to the black headlights/corners w/o losing considerable light output.

Ryan, I still really want the bumper, but have hit a bump in the road financially. Therefore, if someone else can scoop it up before me, then so be it. If not, I'll be there to take it in the near future.

I wish I would have thought of that! Most of the items were gen. 1 specific parts anyways. If you see me around town, I'm sporting the 1.5 front-end now as well.
