I have one in mine....even though I dont drive the car in the winter. I was doing an alarm and figured i might as well have the remote starter too.

I went with compustar. I like them better because they have a few more features that the viper systems done offer. I also find that the range on DEI systms can be a little unstable at times.....like some days it'll work from REALLY far, and other days not so much. They are definitely reliable though.

My 0.02 as an installer, go with DEI or Compustar....dont bother with anything from Audiovox, or Prostart, or Astroflex, or anything like that.

i got a cheap one off ebay for like 90, installed it myself. range was great at first but now sucks. starter still works, cool feature. i had to rig the clutch switch cuz mine is a manual. if i had to do it again ai would get a good brand and a professional install, but expect to pay like 4-500.

I got mine installed from the dealer about six months after purchasing the car. I'm not sure if this is the brand, but it says Pursuit on the remote. I've never had any problems with it. I can start the car from at least 50 feet away, even when I'm indoors. It gets pretty cold here in Northwest Indiana, so it really comes in handy.

yea definitely NOT worth the self install. took me about 3-4 days with the help of a friend. you have to cut the ignition wires which is scary, and then find somewhere to stash everything. worked out ok in the end but still was a PITA. and no i dont have a link for mine because it's been like 2 years. but i think it's Fox brand

Somehow, I was able to install mine myself without messing anything up...

...It's not too bad - just make sure your soldering skills are up to par.

I have a Crimestopper in mine (technically my wifes now) and it's been great for the past 2-3 yrs. It comes in handy when it's freezing cold out or when it's hot out you can have the a/c on blast when you get in.

yup, it's 40deg out... Takes 2min for my idle rpm to drop even a bit. I'd like to get it started before I head out.

Anybody got Directed's Tech Sheet for my 99 SE 5sp? Thanx. I looked at Bulldog's and the12volt's, and want another source to compare (those 2 don't agree on some things). Thanks!
