y-pipe from Dat's groupbuy

Postby skipfiddes » Fri Oct 31, 2008 11:50 am

Y-pipe purchased from fellow sg member. I paid $235 and an additional $50 to have the flex pipe moved and welded in the correct location. Pipe is still unused though. Only Selling because I Purchased a JPP set-up. Asking $220. This is a 2.5" stainless pipe. Test pipe is also included as well as 3 new 2.5" gaskets.

I'd be game; I just have to hunt down some fed-spec manifolds first, since I'm in CA.

Yea, that's mostly why I went with the JPP from Damon. Same pre cat headers.

Camry Racing was going to sell his to me, maybe pm him.

well...because the new obx headers which seem to be perfect jpp replicas (except for a 2.5" collector) is not much more on ebay for a full headers and y-pipe setup instead of just a y-pipe

^Let us know how the fitting/performance is on those OBXs King; also that Ultra Racing bar, unless I bite the bullet and try first.

^ yeah, we're still trying to get them, but the ebay seller hasn't come back with our gb price auctions, so we'll see how it goes...

as for hte ultra racing bar...I'm putting that off for now until I'm done with the whole obx header thing....so you just may be first ;)

as for skipfiddes, I'm sure that if you dropped the price, you'll sell it for sure to ppl who already has fed headers and just want some easy power from a y-pipe

I'm only asking exactly what I paid for it, but $260 anyone?

I'll also include 3 - 2.5" gaskets that are needed (new gaskets)

y pipe

Postby NRDriver » Thu Nov 13, 2008 1:35 am

y pipe wont trigger a cel as long as you put it on right. Right being no exhauts leaks at the connections and dont use the test pipe instead of the CAT
Also must not have California emissions. theres a sticker says "CALIFORNIA" OR "FEDERAL"under the hood

If you use the test pipe that comes with it, you need an o2 simulator that you can wire into your ecu to clear the cel. The other option would be to use a cat rather than the test pipe.
