HID Bi-xenon problem : stock fog lights do not work

Postby andrew_alfonso » Sun Nov 02, 2008 6:10 pm

I recently installed the bi-xenon HID kit (for the headlamps) that shows I should connect the headlight switch on ONE side only that would activate both HID bulbs. Hi/Low function---no problem. HID kit working beautifully.

Except for one problem---my fog lights are dead. I believe since the kit uses only one side of the headlight switch (I used driver's side) the passenger side headlamp socket is empty. I tried installing the old H4 halogen bulb and voila, the fog lights work again! But I can't leave that there, if I remove it again, then my fog lights don't work. I tried making a series and run wires to the driver's side headlamp socket, and don't work.

Any suggestions to "close" the circuit? What went wrong?

Not quite sure what went wrong with your setup. But if you have time to spare... you might want to try the independent fogs mod? I think that might solve your problem...
