just got my grill in yesterday from bchad i dont really like the look of a black on red though. was wondering how can i chrome the outline part??

Sand down the black with fine grit sand paper and spray with chrome paint.

Whats the point of getting that grill then? why didnt u just modify ur stock grill....why fck up a perfectly nice Renova?

If you wanted the chrome look you could of saved your money and modified your stock.

yea the stock grill was fine to me except it had the middle bar and the toyota sign and i dont really know how to mod it. still deciding if i should paint it red or chrome

I'd say leave it black, or paint it red....doing the whole chrome thing would just take you right back to a stock SLE IMO....and to do that, you'd be better selling it to someone else who'd use it the way it is.

Dude, get some red tape, and tape the grill...to see how itll look when its red...i think itll look pretty dope if it matches ur car's color...try it out?

yeah all of the pics i've seen people paint it to match the car. i personally think chrome accents it well since it matches the chrome lining around the doors and windshield

If you use chrome paint it will look silver not chrome.

Well, I've had a struggle with chrome paint on my stock grille; it looked like primer even when I've used "light coats" per the instructions... I finally gave up one night and took some paint remover to it, and some parts looked chromed, but some didn't and went back to base black.

If you wanted it chromed, there's places that you can take it to be "vacuum metalized", but either way, just leave it either black or a matching red; chrome and Renova doesn't really match.
