Clock isn't working

Clock isn't working

Postby 2000goldsolara » Thu Sep 11, 2008 6:19 pm

So the other day I had to get my battery fixed and that's when I noticed my clock isn't on anymore. I checked all the fuse for it as well as all the others. What else could it be? My cigarette doesn't work as well.

Thx

Does everything else work?

I don't know either but it doesn't hurt to check stupid stuff like that. It would be a pain to buy a new clock only to find out the old one was just unplugged.

check to see if your mirrors work.. if they dont, its definately a fuse somewhere... i had the same thing happen a few months back.

when i took it in to toyota they told me that it wasnt a fuse... which was bullshit because 2 months later i went back and they found the right fuse and replaced it... voila'

Starting from the beginning, what was wrong with your battery in the first place?

Just get a sundial and insist on driving North. Problem solved  kidding.

What they said; could be a different fuse; for some parts of the car, 1 fuse can service many parts of the car, or more than 1 fuse can service one part of the car.

Mine just did this and I almost forgot about the fuses behind the little door on the dash. Pulled the CIG fuse and replaced 10amp and it all works now. Mine blew when I was trying to hook up my splitter to run to things at once. Most def a fuse. Also, there is a different one for CIG and 12V outlet.

Dont just check the fuse for that one thing.....check ALL your fuses...the ones inside, and outside....one of them is definitely shot.

Originally, the problem with the battery was that it had 2 dead cells and the post was loose, they fixed it up for me at the dealership and I drove off down the rd thats when i noticed the clock was out.
