Suggestions on Struts and HID's

Postby liltimmy1313 » Sun Oct 26, 2008 8:49 am

So, I am not quite sure which HID's to get. I found which fogs i am gunna get, but there are so many options with the headlights. I know i wanna get dual, hi/lo lights, and i dont wanna break the bank (i still want good quality). ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Also, i have done a fairly extensive search on struts, and all i can come up with is KYB struts. The only problem with this, is that they say its OEM, i didnt think they were OEM but i m not too sure. Are there other struts that i cant find, or are these the only ones. Do i even need new struts if i get new springs, rims, tires, and FSTB and RSB?

By the Way, i got 2004 toyota solara V6 SLE,

but not for long :D

HIDS: H11 55W kit from retro-solutions.com or McCulloch Kits from a member here called "kwazyazn"

you don't need bixenons (hi/lo), unless u want to upgrade your high beams to hids...which is a waste of money

RSB & FSB: TRD from trdsparks.com or trdparts4u.com, the RSB will be the best upgrade as far as cost for performance

the kyb gr2 struts are not that bad, but if youre gonna do springs and struts, might as well go with tein coilovers...a few members here have the kyb...i think lostsoul and aoyota

use the search next time...hope that helps

get McCulloch HIDs from mark, he will hook you up and a reliable kit. as far as struts, go with tokico blues. cheap and reliable/quality often dont mix. i suggest spending more money for the better quality parts.

kybs are the only ones avail, if you are looking for super aggressive shocks then go with coilovers.

personally the kyb and trd springs combo is what i wanted. factory comfort and just a bit better performance.
and regardless of what you decide. get s RSB... makes worlds of diff
Alpine + Dynaudio = Sonic bliss.
