So my solara was totaled this sunday, by some maniac who tried to pass me doing about 80 in a 40. We were in an underpass at the time, and he ended up hitting myself and 2 other cars, then running. I ended up hitting the wall pretty hard. Thankfully the cops caught him a few blocks down the road. I'm a little banged up and sore, but overall I'm OK.

I bought that car in 2004 with 45k, and it had 126k at time of death Other than tires, brakes, oil and turn signals, I've done nothing to it. She was a great car and will be missed. I posted pics of the damage on my flickr if anyone's interested in seeing the carnage.

well my insurance person said it was most likely that, or he was drunk. I'm hoping for #2 since it was 12:30AM after a Phillies game. Still waiting to hear about the police report

At least the person that hit you got caught, he belongs behind bars for life for doing something like that.

I know this isn't the right time to say this.... but do you plan on parting a couple of things out? I could use a driver side visor, rear handle, dead foot pedal and a couple of the screw covers for the interior. Let me know, a little bit of cash going your way couldn't hurt..

Damn... Sorry to hear. The fact that you're still alive is what counts. Cars can always be replaced.

Glad to hear you're okay. By the looks of the carnage you should be glad you were in a Toyota though!
