Engine Start Button

The thread over in the Gen 2 area had me thinking about installing the S2000 start button.

...Then I found this:

Has anyone installed a start button? Where should I put it?

That is as ricey as putting a 2 foot wing on a Civic. It;s a waste of money. Unless your going to spend the $3k to make a TRUE start button system, don't.

Well... Maybe I was...

I thought it looked cool. I've never seen one before - I wasn't aware of it apparent rice-factor.

Not rice at all (in principle), my ex's S2K push start was much the same as that one and the Ignited kits sold a few years back. Originally, you would still have to insert the key and turn to the ignition position, then pressing the button to start the vehicle. Nowadays, sensors allow the key to be in your pocket, deeming key insertion unnecessary.

But for 162.24 why would you want to install one other than impressions?

Very true, the Ignited kits sold for like 60-70 at most. that huge price is for JDM showy points.

EDIT: James i found an Ignited kit for under 30 if you want to try one out, here:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CO9HTY
