Ok guys, bad news.

Went to the dyno place today and well.. for some unknown reason they had a problem with their dyno, the kept dynoing at 60hp to the wheels (compared to our 129hp base line a few days ago). We were there for a few good hours trying to get the problem fixed but unfortunately couldn't. We assume its a bad sensor that needs to be fixed.

So no dyno results yet, i am going to call them later today and see if they fixed the problem, as soon as they do we will go there again to dyno the car.

Sorry guys, i wanted to find out as well but it was out of my hands. I will keep everyone updated.

Eyal

No, it is 360 degrees A full circle. 180 degrees would be a half circle. -JoeB

Eyal, that's too bad and I'm sure frustrating for you. Can you at least show us the pics of the product installed? It must have been installed to attempt the dyno run. Thanks -JoeB

right, so how would you have room where to put the filter pipping to the intake?

That's what I'm waiting to see with the pictures. My RMM Intake kit has a 360 degree filter and the filter sits where the old stock air box set. The XERD shows a picture of a 360 degree filter also. I'm not sure what part is confusing you. Most filters are 360 degrees... -JoeB

also when XERD said that their intake looks nothing like danny's, i started to scratch my head, bcoz Danny's intake placement seems like the most logical place to put it....

360- sphere... hahaha i get it now. DUH! :drinking:

you were talking about 360 degree circumfrence.

just to add to the previous statements of CAI and power...the only thing that the CAI will do is optimize the other A/M parts you have installed...

eg: if your supercharger was giving you x amount of hp and y amount of torque with stock intake (cigarette smoker); it will then give you x amount of hp and y amount of torque with CAI (clean lungs). make sense?

basically like danny said the performance of your car will increase (gas milage, engine longivity, etc.) not necessarily the numbers.

hope i helped!

do i see a tear coming on? man no one is giving u sh!t dude, we all read your post and see what u are saying, and i agree i just think u took it to an extent that it didnt need to be...u sounded like you were mad that they made a CAI(yet its not a true CAI because it doesnt go into the fender like all other do, unless i saw it wrong) you arent going to see huge HP gains off of this, it will help out with a lot of other things...i just put my AEM CAI on my spec v last night and man it sounds nice, feels smoother and im overall happy with it...but im not expecting huge numbers, and my gas seems a little better too....maybe thats just me...only car ive seen with high dyno numbers from a CAI is the rsx-s thats it....hope everything works out for you xerd....and danny keep trying to improve things to the solara like u have been doing...
Goodbye solara, loved you while i had you :( now into my bros hands, and hello Spec V...BYE BYE SpecV HELLO 04 Maxima ;)

yea u saw wrong... danny's cai goes into the fender...ryte behind the fog light... the two pics show the intake from the foglights and also through the headlight (i still dont understand how the XERD CAI will be any different)... Also Danny never said anything about that CAI making huge gains but rather the opposite... Im not tryin to suck Danny's d* or anything, I just respect him and what he has done for the platform......
