Eventhough the Solara n Supra are in different categories, how would you compare these cars to each other, overall?

What Toyotas would u say r better than the Solara? ......... I dont think there r any, the celica is too small IMO

depends on the criteria you find the most compelling.

if performance is top priority, then supra based on it's engine, power output, and rwd setup

if luxury is top priority, then solara, for obvious reasons

if fuel economy with mod potential if top priority, then celica 4cyl.

if looks is top priority then mr-2, depending on what type of person/personality driver has.

for me personally, if money is no issue, then it'd be supra, mr-2, solara, camry, celica....

but that's just me

Like Chinky420 said it depends on the criteria of the buyer. I'd hit up a 3.5L Camry.

Solara vs Supra.

Both can be very luxury. The special edition supra comes in automatic as well with full leather interior and a very smooth ride. Solara has more room for rear passengers but some say the ride can be a tad bit boaty sometimes. Solara is better for long drive hands down.

Trunk space I am sorry but the supra wins hand down and its 100% more convenient then the solara is when putting big stuff in.

Visibility both sucks balls for ever. I have been in better coupes and been able to see out the rear better.

Performance wise you already know who will win. Supra is a bullet proof stock forge iron cast motor. The solara is an economic aluminum block. No resemblance no nothing other then its 3 liter.. Other then that none nada.

Price wise supra cost more. The full SC TRD solara comes close.

Handling the supra wins EVEN if it does weigh 400 lbs more, for it was built to race.

fuel economy base on the turbo supra and the V6 solara. Supra stock will burn gas up the ass but if converted over to single turbo the supra CAN get 30+ mpg and been proven to. Solara always good but very laggy performance when needed.

Not dissing the solara. Solara is a luxury economy car that CAN be fast and powerful. Hard to compare it to a supra. In the end the supra IS at least a 10 year old car.
---------------------------------------------

Comparing Camry VS Solara.

both bad ass but as the years go buy the company are cheaping out on quality. Sure both car are still very good but I can scratch and ding and break down a newer solara and camry over the older one which seems to be made with more love. But the new camrys power plant is pure sex.

I loved my Solara insanely, but I also love my supra, the new camry did not pleased me at all although all the new toys like MPH and lightings are neat but it just does not feel like the old one.

New cars are getting heavier, thinner in materials, bigger, and cheaper in quality............ Period.
