What do u guys think? Oh I use k&n oil filters dont think it makes a diff though.

HOW MANY MILES YOU HAVE ON IT???

I would be careful it's not good to switch to synthetic too far into an engines life. Also, if you drop down to lower viscosities you will run the risk of "Blow BY". This is when the oil will leak past your gaskets, rings, seals ect.. It will make your car smoke as it consumes the oil. ENOS is a good company. I have been using Royal purple in mine for years. Before me the previous owner used Valvoline synthetic. I noticed a difference in the car with better oil. I know Enos is awesome, but I would stick to 5/30.

blow by = engine blow

trust me... I KNOW :(

stick to 5w30
excessive oil blowby causes the engine to run low on oil and in extreme cases like mine I actually spun a rod bearing.

Run 0W-anything and say "bye bye" to you motor in 10K miles.

Just take it easy on the throttle, best way to save gas by far.

Guys and gals, keep it simple! If your car requires 5W-30, USE 5W-30. If it calls for 5W-20, USE 5W-20. If it allows 0W-20, 0W-20 it is!

Lower engine oil viscosity might provide an additional economy benefit, but if your car is not designed for a particular viscosity grade (higher or lower), expect bad things to happen and in the worst possible moment.

A lot of members here are using synthetic oils with excellent results. I personally use Mobil Synthetic 10W-30 (Toyota recommended for hot weather) but may use Royal Purple in the future; satisfied as it is. Mobil-1, Castrol, Eneos, Royal Purple, dyno or synthetic, USE THE RECOMMENDED GRADE.

*** The Toyota 2AZ-FE engine (I have a 2005) was updated to use 0W-20 in 2006 TSB Link. Read the end section and note that they approved 5W-20 for a list of engines, but they allow 0W-20 SPECIFICALLY on the listed engines STARTING on Model Year (MY) 2006. I'm sticking with 10W30, especially since I drive the car hard!

Ok, so i just happened to finish up some Royal Purple "training", if you will. The guy who presented was an oil pro, and said that
A) Switching from a mineral oil to a synthetic at high milage doesn't do a thing. If it's 5w-30, it's 5w-30, be it mineral or synthetic.
B) Surprisingly you can go from a higher viscosity to a lower viscosity on high mileage engines without problems...theoretically. Would I recommend it? No. Use what your supposed to, unless you are talking going from a 10w-30 to a 5w-30 or 5w-20 to a 0w-20, because you're not affecting operating temp performance, just how easy it flows cold.
C) Castrol syntech is actually a mineral oil, they just used their wording to trick the people into believing it's synthetic.
Don't bother switching though. It's definately not worth it to risk paying more for gas and lose power because of blowby, not to mention when you kill the motor.

Oh, and synthetics are generally the same. Mobil 1 and Royal Purple are among the best, but really if you like Eneos, use it.
