Emergency brake light goes on and off?

Postby stainless » Mon Sep 08, 2008 10:51 am

Hey hey i dont think this is anything but just wanted to check and see.

At random times my emergency brake light turns on, then will turn off randomly too.

Ive tried jiggling the e brake to turn it off... didnt work, it just sorta has a mind of its own, Is this something to be concerned with?

Thanks for the help!

Your brake fluid level is likely low, probably because your brake pads are wearing down and more fluid is being pumped to accomodate. The e-brake light also acts as an indicator for your brake fluid level.

This happens to me too..usually in the morning at first start up and first 5-10 minute drive then it just shuts off...at first it would blink every 5 to 10 seconds then its over...weird!
