No, this is a contest to see who is the biggest ahole.

I hope I win but you are getting close with your recent posts.

i hate convertibles. But how is it a mistake in structure. Yes i know that they can not handle as well because of the body not being one piece but people actually by this car for its looks. Not all Solara owners are one this site most of them are 40+ something years old and want the wind whipping through their thinning hair. and a corvette convertable will out handle your car and it still uses leaf springs.

Anyway, I admit that the TRD FSTB doesn't do much improvement over stock besides looks, especially when compared to the TRD RSB. If you look at it though, the TRD FSTB is more solid and less flimsy than the stock one.

For me, the reason why I got it was because my parents' Camry lacked a FSTB so I bought a TRD one to put into the Solara and move the stock one to the Camry.

And you know this... how? Was that you creeping around in my garage? Do you know how many cars I have?

And, let me guess - your next piece of wisdom is that Donald Trump has more money than me? The sun is hotter than a Popsicle?

The reason why people buy strut braces?
1. Because someone tells them to
2. see 1., above

I assume that one of your cars is a Toyota Solara, did I guess right?

I don't care how many cars you have, thats not the point. You are an elitist and your posts indicates it. You think that you are too good for this online community I reckon.

Someone started a post about buying a car part and then you go and turn that around by throwing insults all over, thats what set me off in the first place.

panic wrote:Yes, I have a Solara - among others. And no, you have no idea what I've done to it, so any comparison is... consistent with your other remarks.

The original difficulty results from 1 or both of these errors:
1. you didn't read my remarks
2. you didn't understand my remarks

The "insults" came after someone vapor-locked when they did 1. and/or 2.

You like making lists don't you?

1. We get it, you were scared by a ragtop as a child.
2. Give it a rest with your lists.
3. As I'm sure your girl has told you, harder is better and the improved FSTB is a good thing.
4. If you don't like it, no one's making you buy it. your opinion has been noted and ignored.
5. Carry on.

Geese back on topic people. I didn't mean for this thread to get ugly...

But I may add after doing a little "spirited" driving lately I've noticed quite a bit of difference on how this car responded to this mod. My car doesn't lose traction anymore when I take corners hard and I feel that my car is a lot more sturdy when I take turns and I can notice the body roll has dropped quite a bit as well.

I am completely happy with this easy mod it's "JDM" lol. For those of you who don't have the FSB upgraded I highly recommend it you will not be disappointed. :D

Geezes "panic" - what crawled up your ass? :o

Seems like you have a lot of "wisdom" to share with people but won't put your money where your mouth is and actually try something instead of just putting it down without REALLY knowing WTF you're talking about!
Bring your TRD-less wonder up to Ojai and run some canyons with me and try to keep up. I'll call AAA ahead of time to drag you out of the bottom!

NightRider - most of us who have actually INSTALLED the TRD FSTB (especially the converts) have noticed marked improvement over the OEMs. I tested mine on an onramp marked for 35mph which I could do stock around 45-50mph before getting tire squeal. After installation I could easily pull through around 70mph and still no tire squeal. The combo with the RSB have done wonders... here... in real life. ;)

Oh - and "lilm" - yes, I'm in the 40+ category and far from stock. Chances are I still have more hair that you too - and not a gray one in the bunch! ;)

And let's not forget a nice set of rubbers Jeff! I picked up a set of 225/55/17 BF Goodrich g-Force sport tires and it slices the curves 100x better than the POS Turanzas it came with
