S-AFCII settings if you're running too rich

first off, i'm sorry i'm starting so many topics lately. :p

i'm running pretty rich w/318URD injectors, and i know a couple of members here have adjusted their S-AFCII units (negative adjustments in low throttle) to accomodate. what did you set yours at? i just need a rough estimate.

u should just rest the safcII and take it to a tuner.

U cant use values that someone else is using, even with the same mods...ur values are gonna be a bit diffrent.

Or you can get a OBDII scanner that can read you short and long term fuel trims....adjust from there.
Most tuners only tune for open loop. You can't tune for closed loop but, you can try and control the amount your injectors have to push or pull fuel.
URD and Gadget have a very helpful tuning guide.
Got Boost?? :sweet:

yeah true. but i wanted to try and get as close as possible to normal before i take it to the dyno.

here in hawaii the shops seem very "clique-ish" and cater only to hondas. my co-worker is gonna hook me up with his tuner, but he already seems apprehensive to help since it's a mere S-AFCII unit.

here's a question....why do you feel that you have to adjust low throttle instead of high throttle?

in closed loop, the ecu will do all the adjustments for you . I've watched on my live scanner as the engine races and the fuel trims go nuts after my 330 injectors. Then, as the car idles, the ecu takes into account fuel/ignition/load, and works it all out until the fuel trims are at 0 and you're at stoich- both in idle and in closed loop.

open loop is when you have to worry about having the bigger injectors
