How about these springs?

How about these springs?

Everyone has been telling me that i need to lower my car since i got my new wheels. Will these work with my OEM struts? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0254157348
What will the ride quality be like? What is my chance of rubbing? Do i need to have them installed professionally? Would this be an okay purchase?

Oh and BTW, are "Sprint" brand springs any good? They seem to be the best price.

Those springs should fit, and yes they can be used with OEM struts. Your ride quality might not change much if you leave stock struts. With new struts...depending on the strut you'll feel more response.

I dont know much on this topic but are you going to also upgrade your struts or not. If not let me know how the springs alone change your ride quality and height. I may go the same path as you.

Also, I see you have gotten sick with upgrade fever. I think I've seen alot of posts all saying something like I just got a, or winning sales. Nice man and good luck to all your doing 8)

I second that. Check the TEIN site out

http://www.tein.com/counterfeit/index.html

I've been doing researching on suspension upgrade also. Most on here seems to write that putting aftermarket lowering springs on your OEM struts will make the ride eventually harsh and bouncy.

tein makes good springs, i have eibachs and love them
sprint i've heard are too soft for the drastic drop that they give.
theres a good chance you might rub if you dont roll the fenders, but thats not hard to do. check the sticky wheel/offset thread for more car specific info, i dont know your wheel offset/size so i couldnt say

Wow, Thanks for the Tein page, I didn't know that. I looked at the picture on the ebay ad and compared it to the fakies and the ebay set, looks authentic.

Dont run factory strut with lowering springs
youll eventually blow the strut
and the factory strut is too soft to handle a drop ( be prepared to go sideways over speedbumps if u got exhaust )
Im running Tein S Tech + KYB GR2 And ride quality is decent, i love the drop and i filled the fenders with 18x7.5 ( tire size 225/40/18 ) on a +38mm offset wheels. Fender gap pretty much gone with a 2 person load in the car. I had to roll my fender, but opted instead of have a shave done to it and then covered the shaved part with some paint sealant so it didnt start to peel away.
