He said the car had 235k KM's, not miles. Idk what the conversion rate is, but its not over 200k miles.

146,000 miles is the conversion. Lets give him a chance to provide more info instead of just continuing to dump on the dude... if hes asking too much, then we could just, ummm... not buy it!

I bought my Solara for $4000, 1999 V6 SE 173000 km. Needed to put about $1500 the first week to fix it...so $5500. Mine had an accident before, so I bought it for less.

But $8k seems a lot. You need pics to justify that price.

Just so you folks down in the US of A know, cars in canada, especially those made in canada for the canadian market, tend to be 10-25% more expensive. Just check out toyota.ca and compare the prices to those of toyota.com. You will see the difference.

I am not saying it is ok for him to sell at $8000, but it justifies why he would want that much.

Car has NEVER been abused. Cable snapped due to corrosion from Ontario winter road salt. The plastic eyelet that the bolt goes through is supposed to freely pivot but the corrosion caused movement to cease which caused the cable end to snap. Cable end is buried in engine bay so unless car was on a hoist you would never see the problem and act on it before breakage. Price may be high for the mileage but dealers are still listing the car for 9-10000 CDN. The car is in north Toronto Ontario. Car is standard SLE V6 with wood grain kit and black exterior.
