Mine does it....i've noticed that even if i open the trunk, it'll still re-lock itself. It wont stay unlocked unless i open a door.

Do these units come stock?....cuz I dont have the "VIP" sticker anywhere..

I kno, Ive done all of the programming to stop and nothing seems to stop it. Im guessing that its just some safety feature. It dosent bug me THAT bad I just wanted to make sure that nothing was wrong wth it... :-? Im not sure if they come stock or not. They listed it as an option when I bought it though...

Okay, I read up in my manual and it shows it as being a stock feature. What I dont understand, though, is that in the manual it tells you how to turn everything off but THAT. :x Does anybody know any way possible to change ths?

It works perfectly, I bought the remote from Ebay 1 year ago, $15 brand new. Search on EBay you will find new and used remote for cheap.

You just need to program it, search on SG you will find the guide, it's simple. No needs to spend $200 at toyota dealer. It's the same remote. Mine is a 99, so no "trunk" button were necessary, so I took the modem without the "trunk" button, so I have the toyota logo instead. Also you have a "panic" button on the other side.

The best 15 bucks ever spend on my car.
