this is the one I got:
http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.php?products_id=1230100014
just tap it into the ECU...you'll have to search for which wires to splice, I can't remember anymore.

^^not in Cali if your talking to me. I don't see why it wouldn't work tho, since all you need it for is to satisfy the o2 sensor after the cat. But Dawgz could probably answer that better since he used the other one.

Don't mean to threadjack, but just so I get this straight: I'm still in for Dats' Y-Pipe G/B if it goes through. I have a CA spec car, but am going to switch to fed-spec manifolds in order to run the y-pipe. Should I still run the CA-spec simulator afterwards, or will I have to run a fed-spec one? Mind you, I'm in CA, so I need to pass smog.

I think it depends on what signal your ECU is expecting. If you have a Cali Spec ECU, use the Cali Spec O2

U will need a Type B o2 Simulator from URD. This sends a diffrent signal compared to the Type A. This is because ur car has/had pre-cats on the front header and on the rear header's pipe @ the ypipe. With these two pre-cats, the o2 sensors after the Main cat should be reading diffrently than the federal spec counterpart...and the ecu is looking for that diffrent signal.

Dont worry about smog, ull pass it.

and by the way, u dont have to be in cali to have a cali spec car...im in NJ and have a cali spec car, there are people in cali with federal spec cars....the only way is to look under ur hood and to see if ur front header has a Pre-cat.

Is the o2 sensor installed? If not, u will have to install the o2 sensor first....the o2 simulator still needs a functioning o2 sensor for it to work...atleast thats what it said in the manual that i got from URD.

This o2 simulator serves only one purpose, it sends the ECU the currect signal(voltage) that the rear o2 sensor (after the cat) SHOULD be sending as if everything was stock (the exhaust, etc).

So yes, if u have a modified exhaust system (Headers or ypipe) u probably need to install the o2 simulator.
