i believe that auto transmission are better then manual..here are my reason's...the auto trani holds boost..it shift's at perfect rpm's and also you can't shift as quick as a computer and so accurate..as you can tell most modern cars are automatic with paddle shifting...manufacturers have done this because it provides better results....This is my opinion

Alright, so I can reuse my right side axle, but I'll have to get a MT left one. Sounds good.

Yea, I figured that the park/neutral switch could be wired in with the clutch safety switch. Probably will go that route. Thanks for letting me know about the reverse light hook up. Like I said, I don't know how many connections go to the auto tranny. As far as I know, there is VSS, P/N safety switch, and maybe something else. Or is it in one big harness?

And to the previous comment about auto trannys being better than manual. I have boosted my Avalon, and my tranny was dying. Shift were getting clunkier. I permanently screwed up my O/D shift point. No, I definitely disagree with you. The manual is worlds better than the auto that came in our 1MZ-FE cars. I haven't looked at gear ratios yet, but I'm assuming the manual's 5 gears will have better ratios for acceleration. And nothing beats being able to REALLY choose what gear you are in on a track.
