OEM Bulbs Replaced w/ LED Bulbs?

OEM Bulbs Replaced w/ LED Bulbs?

I was wondering if anyone has done this mod because I have heard of the car not "accepting" the LED bulbs. I was wanting to replace my turn signals and tail lights. It would be nice if someone also had the specs needed to purchase them.

Almost everybody use this website:
http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/AutomotiveLighting/LampReplacementGuide/

And go to this tread, you will find how to replace our Solara lights.

http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php?t=10319&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Don't buy any LED, some are really crap, ask for tips and websites, you will save money and time to get good results.

Yeah but does anyone know if the resistor thing is a problem? Do solaras need resistors for like, the brake or turn signal lights?

there are numerous threads on this subject floating around
but a quick recap from my experiences
LEDs are a good thing if done right. Make sure you use multi angle LEDs like the Matrix 5 head led from autolumination. I am running LED bulbs in my tails, turn signals and all interior bulbs and the only problem ive come across is that my signals blink faster. Thats it, which really isnt a huge issue to me anyway. If done right LED bulbs will totally outshine halogen bulbs anyway
i will post pix later on today with my bulbs, as i am not at home right now.

they look really good
i got them from http://www.autolumination.com
My front signals are the Eagle Eye Tower II
The rear signals are the Light tower or something
My signals are almost too bright. During they day they are noticeable. During the night they are like f.uckin strobe lights.

Make sure the polarity is right when you put it in the socket otherwise it cause problems such as what you are describing...

I have ordered 4 LED bulbs for my lara. For them to work properly you have to install load resistors which i have also ordered. If you do not install resistors then the signals will blink very rapidly because the car thinks that it has blown bulbs. These are the bulbs and resistors that I got. They are all supposed to be pretty good.

The positive and negative contacts on the bulb. With regular incandescent bulbs you dont have to worry about your negatives and positives(polarity). But on led's they have to be matched up.

Just switch it around the other way(180 degrees) and see if it blows a fuse. If so then it is a problem with your bulb's specs matching the wiring/fuse's specs.
